THIS WAS A PRETTY GOOD ADVENTURE BOOK. SURVIORS
ON AN ISLAND, VOLCANOS AND PIRATES. YOU GOTTA
LOVE IT. VERY GOOD BOOK AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT.
You will enjoy this book. JULES VERNE is a excellent writer. A great adventure for all ages. This one is one of three I think. Twenty leagues under the sea. Plus more. Captain Nemo
Part of the Lincoln island trilogy follow the escapees from Richmond as they penetrate the secrets of their island. Who else is there?
As a child of ten or twelve I read this book along with other Jules Verne books. I enjoyed it then. At the tender age of 71 I reread the tale and enjoyed it as much if not more.
This is a great book. If you want to delve into the Verne Mythos, it's great to read all his minor titles. This one is fantastic, we finally find out what became of Captain Nemo, a kind of sequel to the more famous work. Worth reading but only if you're a Verne completist.
Jules Verne is still one of the best. This novel keeps you interested throughout. He gets a bit technical in spots with the way the Captain invents all of his gadgets, but it's still a fantastic, quick read. Highly recommend it!
I had thought this might be a sequel to "Mysterious Island," but it's just the second part of that novel. I suggest you download the free copy of "Mysterious Island" and get both parts together.
That said, this has always been a favorite of mine.
